Nestled in one of the most beautiful locations Ravin Builders has had the pleasure of working, this gorgeous home was in desperate need of 5 new decks. The original design clearly complemented the home, but the products and craftsmanship had been lacking during the first installation.
To make this property shine, we chose Deckorators Voyage mineral based composite decking in a combination of Khaya and Sierra colors. With minimal thermal expansion and contraction, this decking is the perfect choice for the harsh weather Pt. Judith can experience. Intex Millwork railing was chosen for its beauty, stability, and hidden fastener system, meaning there is less chance for the ocean to take its toll. A combination of baluster infill on the lower decks and stainless cable railing on the top floor let us showcase both the traditional style of the home and capitalize on the beautiful views. For water management, we selected an Intex Millwork gutter that is beautiful enough to become a trim detail, and fit right in with the Versatex PVC trim used on the rest of the project.
This home is also a perfect example of why we recommend an In-Lite lighting package on all of our projects. Take a look at the pictures – the difference is “day and night!”
Not pictured, we were also able to work with the town and CRMC to extend the current deck over the garage and build stairs for a way to reach the ground level, hugely impacting functionality for the owner.
