This deck, originally constructed with pressure treated framing, badly needed an upgrade due to a very naughty puppy. Owens Corning Structural Lumber was utilized for its rot-free, extremely stable composition. The OC framing was paired up with a Fortress Evolution steel frame beam to achieve the spans required to give access to the integral garage.
Eva-Last Pioneer decking was chosen as much because of its strength and durability as its gorgeous natural hardwood look. Tile was installed onto the deck frame as well to define the dining space. The decorative inlay that runs through both the main deck field and tile was an on-site design.
A custom waterfall bar top and side table are both built in. The dining table, also a custom build, is placed under an offset pergola that houses lighting.
This one looks just as good at night as it does in the day time!
